About me
I’m a proud Māori and Scottish descendant, affiliated with Te Rarawa iwi and connected to Moetangi awa. Based in Waiuku, Auckland, I’m a devoted husband, father of five, and koro to three mokopuna.
As a group fitness coach and passionate advocate for men’s health, I stay grounded through surfcasting at Karioitahi Beach, paddling waka ama, and boxing—activities that connect me to my community and fuel my commitment to wellbeing.
Professionally, I’ve represented over 200 ACC claimants in the past 18 months and am a preferred advocate for many surgeons across Aotearoa. I bring cultural sensitivity, strategic insight, and a well-rounded perspective shaped by lived experience and deep sector knowledge.
I’m here to help everyday New Zealanders navigate ACC disputes and achieve the outcomes they deserve.

Professional experience
With over 20 years in health and injury management, I offer a comprehensive perspective shaped by roles across ACC, private health insurance, adjudication, and business ownership.
I spent 17 years at ACC in claims management, complaints investigation, procurement, and leadership. During the COVID period, I served as an ACC adjudicator for ICRA, gaining deeper insight into dispute resolution. I later led case managers at Mercy Benefits (Well NZ), followed by a role at Southern Cross Health (NZ largest private health insurer) managing a team of provider partnership managers.
For the past eight years, I’ve also operated a boutique gym and led a men’s health program—bringing hands-on experience in the health and fitness industry and a practical business lens to service delivery.
I hold a degree in Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) and a Diploma in Dispute Resolution from Massey University. My career spans government, private sector, buiness and third-party contracting—giving me a rare, system-wide understanding. This background gives me a well-rounded perspective when supporting people through ACC disputes.
